Touring Campsites in Wales

Touring Campsites in Wales

For such a small geographical location there is so much variety to be found in Wales you'll find yourself going back again and again, even the same place will never be the same twice as weather and seasons can change with remarkable speed in the country. From Hollyhead on the island of Anglesea in the north round the coast via Swansea to Cardiff and the stunning southern Welsh beaches, there is ample variety for those who want to see nothing but green, those who want to look out from the mountain tops or those who want to see nothing but the sea.

There are ample campsites throughout the country and it is possible to plan quite a detailed itinery or see where the road takes you, it is very easy to find one of the many campsites, especially with even a basic map, so toruing can be as organised or relaxed as you see fit, or probably a combination of both. The mountains of Snowdonia in the north have everything from fully firnished standing pitches, offering wi-fi to the more basic, depending on your needs and budget.

Dropping down one finds the Breacon Beacons, an area of unspoilt, verdent countryside, where it is possible to wander along rows of Georgian houses on narrow streets or even visit the 13th century castle of Crickhowell. In the south of the counrty the capital city Cardiff offers access to the country's best sandy beaches, a meer stones' throw away. All areas have a great number of campsites, so from anything to a long weekend break to an all summer tour you'll always find your home away from home.
