Holidays to Tenerife are the top choice for millions of people every year looking for somewhere to relax and unwind. The largest of the Canary Islands, it is located off the coast of Northwest Africa and is one of the most popular tourist spots in the world due to its magnificent extinct volcanoes and perfect beaches. Playas de Troya, located in Playa de las Americas is Tenerife's most famous beach. It is located in the centre of town and is a perfect spot for water sports, with a wide selection of restaurants and bars on hand after a hard days surfing.

Younger visitors on Tenerife holidays often prefer staying in Playa de las Americas. There is a real international influence to this resort, with British pubs, pizza, fish and chips and fast food restaurants for those who fancy a taste of home. The town comes alive at night with some top clubs in town providing the entertainment. Play de las Americas has plenty of self-catering or bed and breakfast style accommodations like the Paraiso del Sol apartments.

The resort of Los Cristianos offers plenty to do while you're in the area. As well as its beautiful beaches, you can also take relaxing pleasure cruises, glass bottom boat rides and even fishing trips. Older crowds and families tend to populate this area, but it still has its share of pubs and nightlife. A great place to take the family is Los Cristianos AquaPark Octopus, which offers dolphin shows, a childrens area, and a wide array of water rides, pools, slides, restaurants, and shops. Alternatively, you can enjoy a day away from the crowds of the beach and take a drive to Barranco del Inferno, Hells Gorge, and enjoy walking through the luxurious green ravine in the middle of the dry, southern end of Tenerife.
